MASTS AND SAILS ANIMATIONS

The sails are animated with two variants: upper 2 sails and bottom 3 sails.
Setting 3 bottom sails - automatic start sailing, adding 2 upper sails - the ship sailing faster
The masts has two positions: ready to sail and parking pos. - according to reality 
( at last, more then 720 moving elements) Masts and sails are animated independently,
so you can set sails at the parking pos. or during the rotation sequence.
All animations are controlled on the pulpit monitors in virtual cockpit.


         

         

         

EXTERIOR MODEL
The model is very detailed and accurate in comparison to origin. She has beautiful smooth shape,
even though she has many boolean holes. For better frame-rate I did not make a few original parts,
e.g. two pontoon boats from the bow side. Behavior in the water is very nice among other things thanks to crosswind swing.
You will see in practice. As usual, the parts shining by reflect natural lights.

For better control of majority function, you will get this unit as a mini panel,
so now you can steering: lights and moving parts from any place on the ship,
same outside and inside.

HINTS:

  - using sail set - lower one by one - take min. 2 sec. interval ( use panel set-lower sequence
OR remote control - don't mix )
  - use keyboard keys only
OR VC switches only - don't mix them together ( you lost correct sequences )
       to concern: 8, 9, 11, 12, 15 (toggles)
  - making turns at full throttle - do this gently and slightly
  - at the minor wind you can use y-axis of joystick to make greater list on sides
  -
to sailing, you need a wind ( behavior in the ocean under the full sail )
  -
Maltese Falcon has been tested at the wind  0 - 50 knots
  - motor tested at 0 - 5 knots ( only for maneuvering ) if you will have a problem to sail against the wind - reduce the wind or set sail
  - to hear environment sound in the sea, adjust this slider in sound menu at 90%

to get crosswind feeling you need adjust main menu:

1- go to the MAIN MENU



2- go to the SETTINGS



3- go to the REALISM and set general slider full to the right.




VERY IMPORTANT !

Before you change the variant of yacht or any model, stop the engine or lower sail !


- If you mix panel switches with keyboard keys the control light will lost correct relation of events,
I mean, if you change a variant of boat without engine stop your new variant will sail without correct
control light of engine (start-stop)
The same concern other moving parts controlled by the switches.

- If the ship can not start with engine, it's mean the wind is to strong - turn the boat around in place
with Z axis to sail with the wind or reduce the wind ( same with reverse )

- For best behavior in the water you can use X axis in your joystick  (to lean)




But use the X axis gently with sense

HOW  TO STAND A BOAT IN THE WATER ANYWHERE YOU LIKE

1 - start with any float plane
2 - land in the water where you will sail
3 - stop the engine(s)  !!!!!
4 - change the airplane to your boat
5 - If you want to sail in this place in a future, save your flight.
6 - sail

START PROCEDURE

1 -  switch on: battery, alt, panel  (all green)
2 -  push ENGINE switch, then leave a port.
3 -  on the sea, push ENGINE switch. When engine stopped, start sail set procedure.
4 -  adjust full throttle  ( joystick or panel throttle by mouse )
5 -  push SAIL SET 1 ----> 2 sec interval and push SAIL SET 2  -------> sailing start auto
6 -  sail and admire a superb views.
7 -  approaching to the port: push SAIL SET 1 (or and) 2 with 2 sec. interval
8 -  when sails are lower, push ENGINE switch and go to the port
9 -  in a port use MAST PARKING switch if needed

INSTALLATION:

Run setup program and during the installation process - insert the serial number 
which you will get  by e-mail  after 
PayPal  transaction confirmation - max. in 24 hours

This software need  67 Mb disk space

FLIGHT:

In the archive file, you can find folder: FLIGHT SIMULATOR X FILES.
Copy and paste this folder to the MY DOCUMENTS, then start Flight Simulator X.
In the main menu choose FREE FLIGHT and click LOAD button then choose the flight:
Deltasim_Maltese_Falcon
